Normally bean bags are filled with bits of Styrofoam, a rigid material to make their texture unique. But if the bean bag is made of cheaper material, Styrofoam leaks out because of its rigid nature. In order to ensure comfort and durability of the bean bag chairs, manufacturers have started using polyurethane instead of Styrofoam. Although these bags are costly when compared to Styrofoam bags, they offer more comfort and one can feel it as soon as one sits on the chair.
The cheapest of bean chairs cost around $100, the midrange ones cost between $130 and $200 based on their material and size. Polyurethane and designer bean bag chairs cost nearly $300.

When buying a bean chair remember to sit and try it first. In case your purchase it online, always ensure that there is enough provision to return the chair if found uncomfortable. Sitting on the bean bag should be very comfortable and suitable to you.
